Bayer Leverkusen attacking midfielder Hakan Calhanoglu is being linked with a move to Chelsea if the latest reports are anything to go by.
Reports coming out of Turkey are claiming that the Blues are very close to agreeing a £17 Million deal for the Turkish international and that he could join the Premier League leaders as soon as January.
There is probably an agent or a club source behind this latest rumour and it is far from certain that a deal will be done, but it is nevertheless interesting that we are reading about Calhanoglu as the winter transfer window gets closer.
Calhanoglu is apparently seen as a potential replacement for Chelsea midfielder Oscar and has let it be known to his current club that he wants to leave.
The 22 year old would be a great addition to the squad at Stamford Bridge and may well make more of an impact than what Oscar is having at this time, however, it remains difficult to see who he would replace in the first team.
Calhanoglu joined Bayer Leverkusen from Hamburg back in July 2014, he has made 71 first team appearances for the German side and 26 international appearances for Turkey.
