Dele Alli has been let off by FIFA for his middle finger gesture during England’s game against Slovakia.
The Tottenham midfielder was on the wrong side of attention again as he engaged in a private joke with his former Tottenham team mate Kyle Walker during the 2-1 victory for the English national team.
The midfielder was in line for a sensational ban after he appeared to target the referee with the gesture, but he insisted it was directed towards Kyle Walker and a wide angle Camera proved that to be true.
FIFA has decided not to go further with investigating the incident, but many fans are calling for the midfielder to be banned.
One fan who claimed that his 8 years old always watches the national team play and tend to copy the players’ celebrations thinks that was an influential act on show and the midfielder should be held responsible.
His fellow footballers are however backing the midfielder with Kyle Walker seeing the funny side of the issue. The Manchester City right back posted an image of Mr. Bean performing a similar gesture in some of his movies.
