After failing to help lift the goal scoring burden off Premier League’s top scorer Harry Kane, Tottenham’s Vincent Janssen is keeping his options open about a possible move away from White Hart Lane.
The Dutchman who top scored in his local league in the 2015/2016 season had hoped to translate his good goal scoring form in the Netherlands into another great achievement in the English top flight, but he failed to deliver over time. He managed just two goals from open play in the 28 games he had the opportunities to prove himself.
His goal return has made it unlikely that he would get another season in North London, but he is still optimistic and is not ruling anything out just yet.
Janssen claims he would make a decision about his future after the holidays after admitting that he found the English league tougher than he had anticipated.
Tottenham is getting back into the Champions League next season, and would likely sign another top striker as they hope to avoid the embarrassing group stage exit that they suffered in the competition last season.
