Bayern Munich unsettled winger Douglas Costa, is a transfer target from Tottenham hotspur. The Brazilian has started only 17 games for Carlo Ancelotti’s side this season, and he wants to play more.
Tottenham wants to add more fire power to their attack as they return to the Champions League next season. Mauricio Pochettino sees Costa as a player that will offer them an opportunity to change tactics when the need arises.
Costa was recently involved in a contract controversy with Bayern, when he was accused of trying to influence an increase in wages. The Brazilian is tied to the club until 2020, but wants improved terms.
However, Bayern Munich have dismissed any talk of an improved deal this summer, with the club’s president labeling his attempt “desperate”.
Tottenham would be able to offer Costa a deal worth £100,000 per week. The club is ready to spend and bring in big named players as they hope to become a power house in European football in the nearest future.
Mauricio Pochettino hopes to make at least 20 Million from the sale of Sissoko, and hope to finance this move with some of that money.
