The race to sign Sampdoria striker Patrik Schick, is heating up as the transfer window draws near. The Czech Republic striker has been in fine form since joining the Serie A side last summer, and several European teams are said to be interested in signing him.
Arsenal, Tottenham, Napoli and Juventus are keen on the striker, but it seems the real battle is between the north London rivals, as they both plan to add more quality players to their team next season.
Italian sources are claiming that Spurs have sent scout to Italy primarily to scout the attacker. They seem to need a detailed report to be sure if he is the right fit for them so that they can avoid signing another Vincent Jansen.
Schick has scored 11 goals in 29 games for Sampdoria this season, which is his first in Italy. At the age of 21, Sampdoria believe the best option for the attacker is to remain at the club to continue his development.
But the player has not made any comment about his future, which may be an indication that he is open to offers this summer.
