Everton Midfielder, Ross Barkley has given the clearest indication yet that he sees his future away from Goodison Park.
The England International has been offered an extension to his current deal since December last year but has refused to sign on. This prompted his manager Ronald Koeman to give him an ultimatum to either sign the deal last Monday or risk being sold this summer.
The England International defied the order and has refused to make a decision about his future.
It is believed that Barkley wants to play European football, something Everton cannot offer him at the moment but has promised to offer to him within the next two seasons. The England man is, however, unconvinced that the Toffees can deliver that.
He has been courted by some of the league’s best teams this season, and would not find it hard to sign for a Champions League playing team.
Tottenham boss Mauricio Pochettino is a keen admirer of the England midfielder and is said to be preparing a deal for him this summer. Manchester United are also interested in the player.
Barkley has one year left on his current deal, but the Toffees believe they can still sell him for a fee upwards of £20 million.
