Tottenham chairman leaves his own player in limbo

Tottenham outcast Andros Townsend has been left in a state of limbo at White Hart Lane, after chairman Daniel Levy refused to sanction a loan move this January.

Townsend wants to go out on loan this winter after failing to make the grade under Mauricio Pochettino, but the club are only interested in selling the winger.

Townsend is desperate to make the England’s Euro 2016 squad for the upcoming European championships next summer and saw a loan move as the ideal chance to get game time in and show the England manager that he is still good enough to be included.

Alas, it seems he will only get that game time if he is sold, as a loan move now appears out of the question. © 2017 Frontier Theme
