Reports from the Etihad indicates that Man City will no longer continue their pursuit of Tottenham’s English trio, Dele Alli, Kyle Walker, and Danny Rose.

Pep Guardiola is a firm admirer of the trio and wanted to add them to his youthful Manchester City team for next season.

Tottenham have established themselves as one of England’s top teams for the past two seasons, thanks to the contributions of these three English men.

Dele Alli has taken the Premier League by storm after joining from MK Dons in 2015. He has already scored 16 goals and provided 6 assists for Spurs this season. He is currently the best English midfielder and is set to become one of the most expensive players in the world if he leaves Spurs in the nearest future.

Full backs Danny Rose and Kyle Walker have provided Spurs with the needed support in attack as well as protection at the back. They are both first choice full backs for England, and this shows how impressive they have been.

But, Guardiola believes the trio would be too expensive and has turned his attention to other alternatives. This would be good news to Tottenham who hope to keep their best players, as they try to establish themselves as a genuine top four team.
