Tottenham have finally captured the signature of their long term target Serge Aurier despite a late attempt by Manchester United to hijack the deal.
The Red Devils entered the race last night and seem to have turned the player’s head with Paul Pogba and Eric Baily been used to influence the Ivorian’s decision.
However, PSG has always been keen to sell him to only Tottenham after reaching an agreement with the Lilywhites for a £23 million move.
The right back has been at PSG since 2014 turning out for them on 81 occasions scoring 5 times. PSG was looking to take some of their stars off their wage bill after the arrival of Neymar and the imminent arrival of Kylian Mbappe.
Aurier is highly thought of by Mauricio Pochettino who sees him as a very close replacement for Kyle Walker because of his physical build as well as his athleticism.
Trippier would have to play second fiddle again as the Ivorian would be the first choice.
