Sampdoria striker Patrik Schick, is impressing in his first season in the Italian top flight. His goal against Crotone last weekend went a long way to show how settled the striker is in Italy after spending such a short period of time there.
The Czech Republic international has set the Serie A on fire since making the move to Sampdoria last summer.
He has already scored 12 goals in 30 appearances this season, a figure that would likely increase considering his present form.
This form has attracted the interest of several top European teams, among them Tottenham, who have made contact with the player’s agent.
Tottenham have been tracking the player throughout this season, and they are believed to have asked their Italian scout to never miss a Sampdoria game until this season ends so they can get enough information about the striker.
Tottenham signed Vincent Janssen last season to help reduce the goal scoring burden on Harry Kane, but the Dutchman has failed to take his chances, and is likely not going to get a second season to do that. Spurs plan to replace him with Patrik Schick.
Schick currently has a £14 million release clause written into his current contract.
