Tottenham join Liverpool in targeting player from bitter rivals

Tottenham have joined Liverpool to keep an eye of West Ham star Manuel Lanzini. The Argentinian has been one of the best players for the hammers since he joined them initially on loan two years ago.

The attacker who new West Ham boss, David Moyes would be keen to build his team around has been tipped to replace Philippe Countinho when he joins Barcelona, but the Reds will now have to contend with Tottenham.

It is believed that Mauricio Pochettino has been impressed by Lanzini since he scored a goal against Tottenham two years ago and believes he can replace Erik Lamela in his squad.

Lazini initially joined the Hammers on loan from Al Jazira in 2014, before they made the move permanent for £9.4million.

He would be open to the idea of moving as he knows he would double his current £35,000 per week deal with the Hammers. The move would likely be blocked by the Hammers this January as they look to secure their Premier League safety first.

His current deal runs out in the year 2020.
