Everton attacking midfielder Ross Barkley is reported to be wanted by Tottenham, however a high asking price means a deal this January is unlikely to happen.
Everton value Barkley at £30 Million, a figure that Spurs are not prepared to pay, despite being keen admirers of the England international.
Another factor is that Tottenham already have two high class players that play in Barkleys position, Dele Alli and Cristian Eriksen.
That said, it is interesting that the North London side continue to monitor the 23 year old, they obviously have reason to believe that the Toffees would consider selling one of their better players.
Barkley is a huge talent, he is a match winner when he is in the right frame of mind, the biggest problem he needs to overcome is his inconsistency.
Barkley became an Everton first team member when he was promoted from the Everton youth team back in 2013, he has made 127 first team appearances and 22 international appearances for England
