Tottenham linked with yet another world record transfer

Barcelona legend Xavi Hernandez, has revealed that his former coach and current Manchester City manager, Pep Guardiola, is interested in signing PFA young player of the year, Dele Alli.

According to the former Spain international, he has been speaking to Guardiola, and the manager has revealed his transfer plans to him. He claims that Guardiola is focused on buying English players for his Manchester City team and considers Dele Alli, one of the most technically gifted players of English origin currently playing in the Premier League.

Dele Alli has been in sensational form this season, and would only leave Tottenham for a world record fee, higher than what Manchester United paid for Paul Pogba last season.

Tottenham have become genuine Premier League contenders under the leadership of Mauricio Pochettino and are looking to keep their key players. Plans are on the way to give Dele a new contract that would see him become one of the top earners at the club from next season.

Tottenham are always a complicated team to do transfer business with and they would prefer to sell Dele Alli to Real Madrid instead of Man City.

It was Real Madrid that broke the then world transfer record fee when they bought Gareth Bale, could they do it again?
