It is almost certain now that Alexis Sanchez will be leaving Arsenal this month and if that was not bad enough it is now being reported that their bitter local rivals Tottenham, are set to beat them to the signature of the player they had lined up as Sanchez replacement.
The Brazilian media are reporting that Spurs have held talks with Bordeaux winger Malcom after Arsenal began to show their customary hesitation.
Malcom had been touted as the player that Arsene Wenger had identified as the perfect replacement for the departing Sanchez but as is usually the case with Wenger, he began having second thoughts and this has prompted Tottenham to make their move for the 20-year-old.
Tottenham have apparently agreed to a deal that could be as high as €50m for the highly rated youngster who has been putting in some eye-catching performances in Ligue 1 this season.
For their part Arsenal have been linked with a move for Borussia Dortmund striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang though that is being denied by the German outfit.
