As the European transfer window approaches, clubs have begun making strong moves for their targets, and it is the same with English teams.
One of the most sought after players in England this summer, Fulham’s Ryan Sessegnon, is the subject of a transfer tussle between some of the Premier League’s top clubs, but Tottenham believes that they can steal a march on their rivals by making £12 million bid for the Londoner.
Sessegnon has been tracked heavily by some of the Premier League’s best teams throughout this season and is yet to commit his long-term future to the London club.
The 16 year old is one of the shining lights for Fulham this season, and Jurgen Klopp sees him as the long-term solution to his club’s left back problem. The Reds have used James Milner as their left back this season, as Alberto Moreno continues to flop. Klopp recognises the importance of having a natural left back in that position particularly as they look to compete in 4 different competitions next season.
Tottenham’s Mauricio Pochettino is expecting clubs to come in for his current left-back Danny Rose, and is not sure if the England left back would reject the advances.
However, any team that would sign Sessegnon must be a club that he would be guaranteed first team action as he looks to build on his impressive maiden season.
