Everton coach Ronald Koeman, has urged England Midfielder Ross Barkley, to sign the new contract he has been offered or he will be sold this summer.
It is speculated that the Tottenham target is refusing to pen a new long term deal at the club after some of his performances have come under harsh criticism this season.
Spurs have been regularly linked with the 23 year old and are keeping an eye on the situation between the player and his club. The North London outfit will be looking to take advantage if Barkley does not extend his contract.
Leon Osman, Barkley’s former team mate has indicated that Barkley is yet to fulfil half of the promise he showed when he was coming through the ranks at Everton. The Midfielder made his debut for the Toffees in 2011 and many feel he has regressed rather progressed since that time.
Everton have been doing well this season, but Barkley’s refusal to commit his future to the club is a clear indication that the club may lose some of their best players next season.
Romelu Lukaku is also on his way out of the club, the Belgian has informed the club that he will not sign a new deal and if they get an offer from a Champions League playing team, he would like to move.
Lukaku is currently the Premier Leagues highest goal scorer with 23 goals and is not short of suitors should he want to leave.
