Tottenham ready to meet this Serie A star’s £20 million buy out clause
Reports from Italy claim that Tottenham have found the player that will replace Vincent Janssen and help reduce the goal scoring burden on Harry Kane.
Janssen was signed last summer primarily to cover for Kane when injury or suspension strikes, but the Dutch striker has been unable to cease his opportunities so far, as he has scored only one goal from open play this season.
Tottenham are now ready to offload him, as they plan to replace him with Sampdoria striker, Patrik Schick.
Schick has impressed since joining Sampdoria last summer, the Czech Republic striker has scored 9 goals in 26 Serie A games this season, but his overall play and physical stature has impressed Mauricio Pochettino.
Schick is just 21, he is strong, athletic and has the intelligence to find spaces in between defenders in games. These are traits that Pochettino wants from his striker.
Per the source, Tottenham are ready to pay his £21 Million release clause to bring him to England.
Sampdoria are said to be keen on keeping him at the club for one more season. It would be interesting to see if Sampdoria will resist a big money offer for the player.
