Tottenham have entered the race for a cut-price deal to sign Hoffenheim’s hotshot, Nadiem Amiri. But will have to see off Spanish giants Atletico Madrid in the process.
Amiri, 20, is one of the most coveted midfielders in the Bundesliga having consistently impressed over the past two season.
He has 18 months left to run on his current contract, and his long term future remains in doubt with no new deal offered yet. This situation has alerted Spurs who have been tracking the youngster for the past two season.
Atletico Madrid are also on the hunt for the player’s signature, and seem to have added him to the list of possible players they want to sign this summer.
Hoffenheim rebuffed RB Leipzig’s bid of £11 Million last summer, however with his contract set to expire within the next 18 months, they would be willing to let the player go for that amount or even less.
Tottenham would be hoping to seal a deal for the player come summer, as they hope to cover up the void that might be left by the possible departure of Mousa Sissoko and Erik Lamela.
