Interest in Chelsea’s midfielder Marco Van Ginkel is increasing. The Dutchman has made a flying start to his loan deal with PSV. He has scored 7 goals in just eleven games this season. He joined them in January after a lengthy spell on the sidelines.
Van Ginkel signed a new deal with Chelsea that ties him down with the Blues till the summer of 2019, and is optimistic that he has a future at Stanford Bridge.
However, several European teams have joined the queue for the player’s signature. Fenerbahce are said to be in direct competition with PSV for the player after PSV’s coach Dick Advocaat, disclosed to reporters, that his club has resumed talks with Chelsea on the possibility of extending his loan deal.
According to Advocaat, signing Van Ginkel for another season would be a no-brainer and his club would ensure that they do their best to get him back.
Chelsea coach Antonio Conte, is said to be looking for new midfield reinforcements, it is possible that if Van Ginkel keeps performing this way he may be part of Conte’s plans for next season.
