Chelsea attacker, Diego Costa might spend the next six months in Turkey as Besiktas remain the only suitors willing to take him on a short term deal before he can play for Atletico Madrid.
The Brazil-born Spain international has been told that he has no future at Stamford Bridge by manager Antonio Conte. However, the only club he wants to play for remains his former team Atletico Madrid, whom he helped win the La Liga in 2014.
But the Spaniards are banned from signing any new player until January after breaking transfer rules regarding the signing of minors.
Costa and Atletico have been trying to find a team he can play for until January and there seems to be a shortage of takers.
Besiktas are keen, thousands of the club’s fans went on Instagram to try and persuade Costa to spend the next six months with them. Besiktas have won the last two Turkish league titles, and want Costa to help them continue their local dominance.
Costa doesn’t want to stay on the side lines for six months as this may spoil his chances of going to the FIFA World cup in Russia next year.
