Manchester United are reportedly set to announce the £20million transfer of Borussia Dortmund midfielder Ilkay Gundogan this weekend, according to the Metro website.
The German midfielder is rated very highly across Europe and has been linked with a whole host of top clubs.
However, reports says the Red Devils have been pushing through a deal for the star who is set to leave Germany this summer.
Dortmund chief executive Hans-Joachim Watzke has already revealed that Gundogan will not be at the club next season.
‘Gundogan will be leaving Borussia Dortmund this summer, that is a fact. I am very confident we will see various clubs coming in for him,’ he said.
‘It has not been our intention to see him leaving. It was his ambition to move clubs. Therefore we agreed. We will sell him.’
