Brighton Goal keeper and Chelsea target, David Stockdale has dropped the biggest hint that he may join the Blues the summer.
The Englishman has been one of the star performers in the Brighton team that secured promotion to the Premier League this season.
According to the player’s posts on his personal social media accounts, this was his last season at the club.
The 31 years old, who has made over 120 appearances for the Seagulls, tweeted “Gutted to go out like that. Big thank you to all my teammates and staff. Thank you to all the fans”
He has been a target for the Premier League’s Champions elect, as Antonio Conte prepares for the allow Asmir Begovic join south coast team Bournemouth.
The Cherries tried to sign the Bosnian last winter, but Chelsea did not allow him to leave because they failed to land Celtic’s Craig Gordon. With Stockdale available for free this summer, Conte will likely allow Begovic to leave and replace him with the England man.
Stockdale has played in London before, with Fulham and also had a stint at Leicester City.
