After struggling to avoid relegation last season, Watford has made their best start to the Premier League season this year. The Hornets’ fortunes have been helped greatly by the appointment of former Hull City manager Marcos Silva. They currently sit 4th in the league table after 4 matches. The last time they were inside the top four after 4 league games was in 1982, and they ended that season in 2nd position.
Watford opened their season with an impressive 3-3 draw against Liverpool and won their last game 2-0 away at Southampton they have two wins and two draws from their opening 4 league games and they will be looking to cause another upset against a very confident Pep Guardiola side.
Manchester City is currently enjoying a very good run of form. They thrashed Liverpool 5-0 in their last league game and followed that up with a 4-0 away win at Feyenoord in their first Champions League game in midweek. They have three wins and a draw from their opening 4 league games and with the duo of Jesus Gabriel and Sergio Aguero showing signs of understanding up front, we can only expect them to get better.
We do not expect these game to be a straightforward one for either team, but we believe Man City will win this game, albeit not without conceding.
