There has been some reports which have revealed Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger plans to keep his players this summer, amid speculation a number of them are planning to leave
The likes of Bacary Sagna, Lukasz Fabianski and Nicklas Bendtner are out of contract at the end of the season and are widely expected to leave.
However, there is some doubt over the future of Lukas Podolski, who is reportedly frustrated at his lack of opportunities to play as a centre-forward, but Wenger is keen to keep the German.
As quoted on the Sky Sports website, he said: “Podolski is the one you want to have the ball because he is very accurate, very quick, has a short backlift and is a quick, fantastic finisher.
“That is why everyone says, ‘Yes, he is a striker’, but when he plays completely up front you don’t feel he enjoys it. He likes to come to the ball and always come deep.
“He does not agree and certainly thinks he is a striker, but he is a striker with somebody else who is a striker as well and has different qualities than he has.”
