Wenger opens up and announces impressive winger to be an Arsenal player

Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger has reassured fans Joel Campbell has a future at the Emirates, according to the Metro website.

Campbell has already had three loan spells since joining the Gunners, but after making a good impression at this summer’s World Cup, the youngster was expected to be handed a chance by Wenger.

However, that has failed to happen and he is reportedly ready to leave the club in the winter window.

But Wenger admitted: “Yes, of course [Campbell is in my long-term plans].

‘But I cannot guarantee the happiness of every player. I try to make everybody happy.

“I personally love Joel Campbell and have a big respect for him and I wish every day that he is happy from morning till evening.

‘We have all got to deal with our problems.”

  1. Never heard Arsene told like that before about one particular player. Joel Campbell just needs a bit patient than he had before. Superbly patient in three years on loan but give up when he actually get into waiting line here at Arsenal. Don’t give up now Joey!

  2. Wishing someone happiness does not guarantee it. Campbell needs to be given a chance and I for one wont mind him being tried in a game or two up front in place of Welbeck, who has certainly looked a bit out of sorts to me in the last few games. Also, Arsenal need to play Rosicky in the center to get some more pace and directness in their game.

  3. Wenger has something against Campbell. My guess is the lad has not learned yet how to go on and on passing and not shooting.
