Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger has come out and responded to the news that Newcastle’s on-loan striker Loic Rey was caught at the Emirates.
Remy has been linked with a move to London for a while now as Wenger is an admirer of his ability.
And with the French boss expected to make at leats three signings this summer, there has been talk that he could be ready to offer Remy a five-year deal at the club.
But despite the fact Remy was at the game at the weekend, Wenger insisted the presence of hitman at the Emirates was not a sign he is heading for Arsenal in the summer.
As quoted on the Daily Star website, Wenger said: “Honestly I’ve just been informed that Loic Remy was here. I didn’t know.
“Don’t see any sign of us signing Loic Remy in that. I did not invite him. I hope he has paid his ticket!
“The solution is not always outside the club. We missed offensive players at an important part of the season (through injury).”
