Wenger reveals Arsenal interest in sought after £60 million man

Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger has come out and revealed that he tried to sign highly-rated French International and Juventus star Paul Pogba.

The French international walked away from Manchester United on a free transfer to join Juventus, having grown frustrated with a lack of opportunities.

And Wenger declared that the Gunners were keen on a move.

As quoted on the Daily Mirror website, he said: “We were interested by Pogba when he was at Manchester [United].

“We tried to get him, but it was complicated. I was surprised to see Manchester let him go. We did not have the right to contact him.”
