Arsenal are plotting a mega-money move for Paris Saint-Germain striker Edinson Cavani
The Uruguayan moved to PSG last summer for €62 million (£50 million) from Serie A side Napoli and has been a success in his debut season in France.
Cavani has scored over twenty goals for the Ligue One champions, which helped them push for a second consecutive title.
However, there are rumours in the French media that Cavani is unhappy at playing second fiddle to talisman Zlatan Ibrahimovic.
The charismatic Swede, who was recently voted onto Fifa’s World Team of the Year, is the main man in Paris with Cavani as his lieutenant.
And according to the SportsDirectNews website, Arsenal will attempt to secure his signature for less than the £55million PSG paid Serie A side Napoli almost a year ago and would also be willing to include fringe players in exchange as part of the deal.
