Reports have come out and claimed Arsenal target Javi Martinez is considering a summer exit from Bayern Munich.
The 25-year-old, who was part of Spain’s World Cup winning squad in 2010 as well as their triumph at Euro 2012, is said to be unhappy at the club after seemingly being sidelined under coach Pep Guardiola, according to reports in Spain.
Martinez broke the Bundesliga transfer record in 2012 when he moved from Athletic Bilbao to the Munich side in a five-year deal worth €40 million (£31.6m).
Guardiola has reorganised the squad since he took over the helm of the European champions with Philipp Lahm playing in a more defensive midfield role and preferring to use Thiago Alcantara, leaving Martinez more and more on the bench.
And according to the SportsDirectNews website, he is considering his options and would be open to a summer move.
