Wenger told to bring £300,000-a-week superstar to Arsenal and get rid of Walcott

Arsenal legend Paul Merson has urged Arsene Wenger to make a move for Real Madrid superstar Gareth Bale.

Bale, 25, is a target for the Gunners’ Premier League rivals Manchester United and Chelsea amid speculation that he is not happy at the Bernabeu.

And Merson, who spent 12 years at Highbury, believes his former side should cash in on Theo Walcott and move for the Welshman.

He told Sky Sports: “I think he would fit any club in the world.

“Why not Arsenal?

“You’re getting rid of Theo Walcott, you’ve got a load of money.”
