Wenger’s summer target turns down contract as summer move to Arsenal wanted

There has been some fresh reports in the Media which have claimed Arsenal are ready to make a £3million bid for Swansea City captain Ashley Williams, according to the Metro website.

The big centre-half is now rated as one of the best in the Premier League after a couple of impressive seasons with the Welsh side.

Gunners boss Arsene Wenger has been linked with a move for the last few windows, as he looks for a strong leader to come in and possibly replace the departing Thomas Vermaelen.

However, the Swans refused to sell as they did not want to lose their Captain, but now Williams turned down the offer of a new contract and asked for a move away.
