West Ham are reportedly leading the race to sign Man City flop Wilfried Bony. Everton and West Brom are the two other teams who are said to be actively pursuing the player’s signature.
The former Swansea hit man saw his stock fall hugely when he made a big money move to Manchester City. He was frozen out at city and was offered an escape route when Stoke City came calling last summer. However, the Ivorian has failed to deliver once again and has been sidelined at the Bet365 stadium.
West Brom consider Bony to be an accomplished Premier League striker, while Everton are considering their options if Lukaku leaves, which is imminent.
Bony was the top scoring Premier League player for the year 2014, a form that earned him a move to Man City. But he failed to meet expectations.
All three teams believe that they can help him get back to form and terrorise Premier League defences again. He recently revealed his frustration at not starting games at Stoke City even though he was fit to play.
