It is very likely that the 2017/18 Premier League Champions will come from one of Chelsea. Arsenal. Liverpool, Tottenham, Man City and Man Utd.
The question for us to ponder is which one of those teams represents the best value.
You should also visit some of the high-quality betting sites before you place your pre-season bet, you do not want to miss out on some of the free bets and fantastic offers currently available.
Early Premier League betting prices have already been marked up with most of the bookies with Man City installed as the favourites to lift the title.
Chelsea and Man Utd are battling it out for the second favourite spot followed by Tottenham, Liverpool and Arsenal.
Prices vary considerably, as an example Arsenal can be backed at anything between 11 and 17.
Another plus factor with backing one of the top six is that there is a high likelihood that your team will feature regularly on Sky Sports and BT Sports throughout the season.
But back to the original question, which team is the value.
Of course, it all comes down to opinion and so we will look at this from a generalised point of view and in doing that we can probably eliminate Arsenal and Liverpool as neither team looks anywhere close to being able to maintain a consistent title challenge, certainly not based on previous seasons evidence.
That leaves us with four contenders, Chelsea, Man City, Man Utd and Tottenham.
United appear to be a team still in transition, they will almost certainly do better than last season but even with Jose Mourinho in charge and a bank full of money they still look to be just short of a championship winning squad.
That leaves us with Chelsea, Man City and Tottenham and we are of the opinion that Tottenham can also be eliminated.
Last season’s runners-up probably need one or two players to be able to mount a real title challenge but it is the fact that they will be playing at Wembley next season that will be their biggest handicap. Until they have shown they can play winning football at the Nations stadium they are best left alone.
And then there were two.
The truth is that Pep Guardiola has yet to prove he can do it in the Premier League, he had the players last season and were preseason favourites and yet they were lucky to end up in a top four spot come the end of the season and while new signings may make a small difference, we cannot see them quite being able to challenge over an entire season.
So there you have it, Chelsea.
Chelsea are proven, they are after all the current champions, they have a manager in Antonio Conte with a winning pedigree and we can see no reason why they cannot successfully defend their title and with odds of 4.50 available, they are our value pick to win the 2017/18 Premier League title.
