WTF! Chelsea stunningly hand sensational chance to former WORLD CUP winner!

Chelsea have handed former AC Milan goalkeeper Marco Amelia a trial, according to the Sky Sports website.

Asmir Begovic is currently deputising for injured Belgian star Thibaut Courtois, but Blues’ boss Jose Mourinho is keen to expand on his selection options.

And Amelia, 33, has been handed a trial as Mourinho is concerned his reserve goalkeepers have no experience.

The Italian was part of the country’s victorious World Cup squad in 2006 and could be registered in the Champions’ squad as they have spaces available.
