Germany and Schalke youngster, Max Meyer has admitted that he might leave the German club this summer, placing the odds of him leaving at “50-50”. This has opened up the possibility of him signing for a premier league side this summer.
The German, who is the captain of his country’s under-21 side, has made four appearances in the German senior national team, and has just 12 months left to run on his current contract.
Meyer has admitted that contract negotiations between his representatives and his club have stalled, and he might be on the move when the transfer window opens in the summer.
When asked about his contract situation over the weekend, the German said “there have been no further talks”
When asked if he was interested in extending his contract with the club, he replied “Why not? I can imagine both. The odds are 50-50. ”
Tottenham have previously been linked with the 21 year old and are expected to be one of the clubs keen on signing the youngster, he certainly fits their style of play and is the perfect age for the North London giants.
