Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich is ready to pay Diego Costa’s release clause and bring him to Stamford Bridge in the summer window.
With 30 goals in all competitions so far this season, Costa is one of the deadliest strikers in Europe, and Atletico Madrid are likely to receive a host of bids for his services this summer.
And reportedly leading the chase is Jose Mourinho, who knows he must add a world-class striker to his squad if he is to have the complete team at Stamford Bridge.
His performances have helped Diego Simeone’s side push Barcelona and Real Madrid for a title challenge, whilst on a personal note, the former Rayo Vallecano man has gained heavy plaudits from numerous clubs.
And now according to the SportsDirectNews website, owner Abramovich is ready to give the Portuguese coach what he wants, paying the release fee of £32m.
