Chelsea target Mehdi Benatia will meet with the Roma board to discuss his future, according to the SportsDirectNews website.
The centre-back has enjoyed a superb season prompting interest from Blues boss Jose Mourinho, as he looks to fill the void that may be left by David Luiz.
And despite Roma’s reluctance to let him leave, he has failed to commit his future to the Serie A club and the player’s agent Moussa Sissoko revealed that several clubs have made contact.
He said: “The leaders at Roma are aware of the fact that other big clubs are interested in Mehdi.
“We’ll have a meeting with the club soon and we’ll see what happens from there. At the moment though, all I will say is that the lad feels very good in Rome.”
