Chelsea are reportedly one of the clubs scrapping it out to sign Anderlecht’s youngster Sefa Isci, according to the player’s agent.
The highly-rated Turkish youngster is also wanted by Benfica but Jose Mourinho apparently plans to snap him up and then loan him out to gain first-team experience.
The 18-year-old man can play at right back or in the middle of defence, and according to the Daily Star website, his agent, Saffet Balkan, confirmed the Blues interest.
“Benfica and Chelsea are interested in Sefa Isci,” Balkan said.
“Chelsea want Isci to loan to their partner club Vitesse.
“Benfica made an enquiry for Sefa after his performances against them in the Youth Champions League.
“Benfica were impressed with Sefa’s performances in the Youth Champions League and the Viareggio Cup.”
