Manchester United boss Louis Van Gaal has been given a boost in his chase for Juan Cuadrado.
Van Gaal thought his hopes of signing the Colombian were slipping away but it appears a deal between the player and Barca are a long way off.
Cuadrado’s agent Alessandro Lucci revealed that he has held talks with a number of clubs but that no deal was close.
As quoted on the Daily Star, Lucci said: “I’ve been in direct contact with Barcelona and with other clubs.
“They showed interest but now there are no negotiations in place, not with Barcelona or any other clubs.”
