Liverpool have once again been linked with a move for Marseille midfielder Mathieu Valbuena.
The diminutive playmaker has shone in Didier Deschamps’ resurgent France side and could yet go all the way with Les Bleus.
However, despite his quality performances in the World Cup, his future at Marseille is in question as they are willing to sell on this summer.
And that has led to reports which have linked him with a switch to Anfield, as Brendan Rodgers looks to add something different to the squad.
And his agent, doing what any agent should do, has opened the door for an exit for his client this offseason.
As quoted on the Daily Mirror website, his agent said: “He has a contract with Marseille and they are not a small club, they are a big club in France.
“But it is true that given his performances, and if there is the opportunity with a club, it is something we will examine and Marseille as well.
“Nothing is set, there is no destination fixed, there are contact with certain clubs in different European leagues.”
