Arsenal are reportedly set to sit down and have talks with the much talked about and in-demand Porto striker Jackson Martinez, according to his agent.
The representatives of the Colombia forward, 27, are currently in Italy and will enter discussions with Roma over a potential switch to the Serie A.
Despite these discussions, Martinez could be set for a switch to the Premier League with Arsenal, as talks with the Gunners has been pencilled in according to the Daily Star website.
And Martinez’s agent, Peppino Tirri, revealed Porto would be willing to let their talisman leave the club if they receive a bid in the region of £30m
He was quoted as saying: “I am waiting for Jackson Martinez’s manager, Henrique Pompeo, to arrive in Italy tonight for a series of transfer meetings we’ll have together.
“It’s true, he will fly in tonight because we have some encounters to evaluate and find the right proposal for Jackson Martinez.
“We’ve got meetings set up with numerous European clubs, as he is of interest to Manchester United, Atletico Madrid, Arsenal and Valencia, but also important Italian sides.”
