It has been reported now that Arsenal skipper Mikel Arteta has signed a new contract with the Gunners and will remain at the club.
The Daily Mirror has claimed that the 33-year-old Spaniard finally negotiated terms for a one-year extension.
The new deal will see him remain at the Emirates, although there has been no official confirmation of the deal being finalized yet.
Arteta has not featured for the first team since November due to calf and ankle problems, but should return to action soon. In the mean time, Wenger’s side have performed very well and are third in the league at present and have an FA Cup final to play on the 30th of March.
