Lazio striker Miroslav Klose is open to remaining with the club, despite links to Arsenal
The 35-year-old German striker joined Italian club Lazio in 2011 and has maintained his solid reputation as a proven goalscorer, scoring seven goals and assisting five this season in Serie A.
Whilst his age sees him classed as a veteran, it is has not stopped many of Europe’s top clubs tempted to make a move for the former Bayern Munich striker.
Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger has maintained is interest as he continues to look for a clinical striker, whilst La Liga side Barcelona have also been interested.
However, it looks certain that Klose will remain in Rome for one more season, making him 36 when he eventually calls time on his spell at the Stadio Olimpico.
Boss Edy Reja spoke with reporters following the weekend game with Parma, saying: “He is part of our future plans.
“He even wishes to stay. However, it is a situation that needs to be cleared up by him, the president and Tare. Miroslav is doing well here, he won’t have any issues staying.” (SportsDirectNews)
