Kiko Casilla has ruled out a move to Arsenal in the summer by insisting stay at Espanyol in the summer.
The 27-year-old is believed to be on Arsene Wenger’s wish-list, with doubts persisting over Wojciech Szczesny’s long-term suitability at the Emirates.
Talks between the La Liga club and Casilla’s agent over a new deal have stalled,as they cannot agree a release clause fee.
However, despite the Gunners interest, Casillas has admitted he will stay at the Spaniards.
As quoted on the TalkSport website, he said: “I have one year left of my contract and I always keep what I have signed.
“In addition, the renewal will be arranged. At Espanyol I am playing and enjoying. Here I feel very comfortable and I have always said that I want to stay.
“I do not know much about the renewal nor do I want to know until it is all done. My role is to be focused on the job and contribute my bit to the team. I insist that I will play here next year.”
