Fresh reports have claimed Arsenal have opened talks to bring Southampton star Morgan Schneiderlin to the Emirates.
With the deal for Real Madrid’s Sami Khedira stalling because of his wage demands, Schneiderlin is seen as a more affordable target.
Southampton have had their squad ripped apart since the end of last season, with the likes of manager Maurico Pocthettino, Adam Lallana, Rickie Lambert and Luke Shaw all now gone.
And now the Independent have claimed that the two clubs have begun negotiations about a possible £15 million deal.
The Frenchman is keen to make the step up in the game and will be hoping a deal is pushed through sooner rather than later.
