Atletico Madrid president Enrique Cerezo claims ‘everyone’ wants star striker and Arsenal target Diego Costa
Costa, 25, has enjoyed a sensational season in front of goal for Atletico, netting 33 times so far, helping Diego Simeone’s side reach the La Liga summit.
His classy performances have caught the eye of Gunners boss Arsene Wenger, who is keen to add a top-class striker to his squad.
However, the likes of Chelsea, Barcelona and Real Madrid also want to sign the Brazilian-born Spain international and Cerezo admitted Atletico could face a difficult summer ahead with interest building in their hitman.
As quoted on the Daily Star he said: “He [Costa] has been with us for many years. He has been in many other teams in Spain [on-loan] and wherever he has been they have spoken well of him.
“And that means one thing, the player is valuable. So everyone wants him.
“He’ll be one of the top goalscorers this season and will shine for Spain in Brazil, I’m sure.
“He has quality and he deserves it, he has worked hard to get where he is.”
