Former Arsenal defender Martin Keown believes the injury to Aaron Ramsey has been a big blow in their season.
Arsene Wenger’s side lost 1-0 at Mark Hughes’ Stoke City on Saturday to leave them four points off the top with some tough games coming up in March.
And Keown claims fixture congestion and key injuries to some of their best players have been the major setbacks at the Emirates.
As quoted on the SportsDirectNews website, he said: “They’ve hit a brick wall with the fixture congestion and the difficulty of the games.
“Credit to Stoke, they played exceptionally well, but from Arsenal there was a lack of creativity in the final third.
“They’ve got players injured and Ramsey’s been a big miss for them, I think he would be the one to drive them on.”
