Reports have come out and claimed Juventus have failed to negotiate a new deal for defender Stephan Lichtsteiner, putting Arsenal on full alert.
Lichtsteiner was a consistent performer for Juventus last season, scoring two goals and assisting eight to help the club to the Serie A title.
However, he is now entering the final year of his contract and the Italian Champions have been keen to tie him down to a new deal.
But the 30-year-old is reportedly not interested in the current £2m-a-year offer on the table and is understood to be looking for at least a £2.4m net pay packet. That has led to the Daily Express claiming the Gunners could swoop in and bring him to England, as boss Arsene Wenger looks for a long-term replacement for Bacary Sagna.
