Arsenal ready to battle it out with Spurs and Man Utd for classy Brazilian

Arsenal are preparing to fight Tottenham and Man Utd tooth and nail for the signature of Paris Saint-Germain forward Lucas Moura according to the latest media reports.

Moura is surplus to requirements in Paris having dropped down the pecking order behind Neymar, Julian Draxler, Kylian Mbappe and Angel Di Maria and would welcome a move this month.

Arsenal is particularly keen and is considered the front-runners, especially now that United are set to sign Alexis Sanchez, which means they really do not need to sign the 25-year-old Brazilian winger.

Tottenham have apparently already held talks with PSG but they are reported to be only interested in a loan deal, something that the French side do not want, not when they need to balance the books after such huge outlays on Neymar and potentially Mbappe in the summer.

Moura is a quality player it is just unfortunate for him that he is in a team with an abundance of world-class talent and would definitely be a good addition to Arsenal, Tottenham and United.

Speaking earlier this month Moura more or less confirmed that he will be leaving PSG this month.

“Is there a chance that I stay this winter? I do not think so,” Lucas said. “With what the coach has said, it looks like this is the end of my Paris story.

“I have offers but I cannot talk about them. I like English football very much, it is truly one of the best leagues in the world.”
