Arsenal urged to sign up technically gifted hitman

Former Arsenal full-back Kenny Sansom thinks his old club t sign striker Dimitar Berbatov.

The enigmatic Bulgarian, who scored a superb goal for Monaco yesterday in their victory over Nice, made his name at the Gunners’ bitter rivals before spells at Manchester United and Fulham, who released him in January.

At 33 he is in the twilight of his career but Sansom believes his latest strike proves he still possesses the requisite skills to cut it at the highest level, and he is out of contract in June.

He also thinks Arsenal should attempt to lure Southampton defender Luke Shaw to the Emirates Stadium when the transfer window reopens.

He posted a video of Berbatov’s weekend goal on Twitter before adding: “I think Berbatov & Luke Shaw would be excellent additions to the Arsenal’s squad.” (SportsDirectNews)
